Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to drive sustainability in various
sectors by reducing waste, increasing access to resources, and providing
environmentally friendly outcomes. This article explores the ways in which AI can
contribute to sustainability in production and distribution processes, as well as in
sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, utilities, and
construction. It also examines the role of AI in providing more individualized
services and preventing risks to individual health and infrastructure. The article
highlights the challenges that arise in implementing AI for sustainability and
recommends practical solutions that can be adopted by organizations and
policymakers. This article emphasizes the importance of AI in fostering
sustainability and provides valuable insights for the development of AI-based
strategies to address pressing environmental and social challenges.
